La Chine est le plus grand producteur de produits de l'aquaculture au monde et représente à elle seule 70% de la production totale. 55% de cette production est exportée. Les États-Unis importent 80% des produits de la mer consommés et la Chine est le troisième exportateur dans ce pays.

Aux États-Unis, personne ne s'est plaint de maladie jusqu'à présent, après avoir consommé ces poissons et crevettes mais la FDA affirme avoir trouvé, au cours d'une longue campagne d'échantillonnages, des résidus d'antibiotiques (fluoroquinolones) et d'antibactériens (nitrofurane) dangereux à long terme pour la santé. Ces substances pharmaceutiques ne sont pas autorisées aux États-Unis et certains ne sont même pas permis en Chine non plus.

Dit autrement, ils regardent cela d'abord, mais ceci ne veut pas dire que toutes les normes existantes ne vont pas désormais être examinées de prés.

On trouve relativement facilement du tout petit poisson-chat en saumure (j'ai un bocal sous les yeux !), dans les grandes surfaces asiatiques ; où peut-on trouver les résultats d'analyses des services, communautaires ou français, de ce type de produit ?

Certains vont se dire : "Il a encore trouvé un jeu pour le week-end...! "
