Concernant l'information sur le circovirus
porcin, je transfère les messages transmis par Muriel BAILEY
et Marianne DUCKERTS

De ce que j'ai lu aujourd'hui
sur le circovirus type 2, le plus intéressant
vétérinaire
suisse.
- Le circovirus porcin type 2 n'a pas
de parenté antigénique avec le circovirus des
volailles.
-Séropositivité:
53 % aux EU, 85% au RU et en Allemagne.
-Epidémiologie:
presque rien de connu. Le circovirus type 2 est excrété
dans la salive et les selles et peut ainsi être propagé
par contamination directe. Vu la ténacité
particulière de l'infection, une voie de contamination
indirecte par les vêtements et les équipements des
fermes est également supposée.
-Symptômes: dyspnée
progressive, émaciation, hypertrophie des ganglions
lymphatiques.
-Histopathologie: lésions
inflammatoires avec lymphadénite, pneumonie interstitielle,
hépatite, néphrite et pancréatite.
-Egalement dermatite et
pétéchies comme dans la peste porcine.
-Pas de vaccin disponible
actuellement.
En Suisse c'est l'université
de Zurich qui confirme le diagnostic.
Je n'envoie pas copie à
la liste, sinon des vétérinaires susceptibles me diront
de m'occuper de pédiatrie et non de médecine
vérérinaire.
Intéressant aussi,
en allemand, sur le site vétérinaire
animal-health-online: le résumé d'une thèse
présentée à la faculté d médecine
vétérinaire de Munich.
En résumé:
on a souvent signalé dans la littérature que le passage
du stade porteur sain au stade clinique symptomatique serait favorisé
par la présence cocommitante d'autres agents infectieux,
bactériens ou viraux. Ce n'est cependant pas le seul facteur
en cause, pcq des porcs séropositifs pour toute une série
d'agents infectieux et pour le circovirus type 2 ne sont pas
nécessairement malade. L'auteur, Katrin Regina conclut que
l'apparition des signes cliniques est probablement le résultat
d'un manque d'hygiène et des conditions d'élevage.
