A propos de la leptospirose, signalée par
B.Peiffer,
Il ne s'agit pas d'une intoxication, mais de la
transmission par l'urine de rongeurs porteurs d'un agent contagieux
appelé leptospire. Ce leptospire est un spirochète
(nombreux sérovars connus) voisin de celui qui provoque la
syphilis. L'homme est sensible ainsi que de nombreuses espèces
animales sauvages ou domestiques (porc, cheval, bovins...). C'est une
zoonose, c'est à dire une maladie commune aux hommes et aux
animaux. Les premières victimes de cette maladie grave sont
tout simplement les chiens, en particulier les chiens de chasse. Il
est fortement recommandé de pratiquer une
vaccination
annuelle, surtout quand les chiens sont amenés
à fréquenter des zones humides. Je ne connais pas de
cas humain en France, mais il est possible que celà existe.

demander où en est -on à ce
stade de la maladie, existe-t'il un traitement ?

Un simple commentaire sur cette zoonose.
Les
leptospiroses sont beaucoup plus fréquentes qu'on ne le croit,
en particulier parce que le diagnostic n'est pas toujours aisé
(et posé).
Les formes aiguës, parfois foudroyantes, ne
permettent pas d'avoir le temps de faire des titrages sérologiques
comparés.
Quant aux formes chroniques, elles sont souvent
protéiformes et pas toujours très évocatrices.
La maladie est très répandue en zones humides
(pour l'Indre, on peut penser notamment à la Brenne),
par
l'intermédiaire de porteurs sains (les rats, mais
aussi d'autres espèces).
Cela justifie pleinement en
particulier la vaccination systématique des chiens
(primovaccination en deux injections à 3-4 semaines
d'intervalle)
avec rappel annuel, voire semestriel.

Nous somme une société de contrôle
et audit (abattoir, élevage, pisciculture) nous entendons pas
mal parler de la leptospirose après discussion avec notre
médecin du travail, il nous jugerait "personne à
risque"
je voulais savoir actuellement où en était
les abattoirs ou éleveur vis à vis de la leptospirose,
mesure de prévention, ou vaccination? je sais qu la
vaccination est assez lourde, et qu elle ne protège que contre
une seul séroytype.
Dans le même débat, à
l'époque ou je faisais mes études on nous préconisait
le vaccin contre la fièvre typhoide des lors qu on allait en
abattoir...
