WASHINGTON – The Produce Safety Project today issued a report that examines the steps taken by select European Union (EU) countries to reform their food safety data collection and analysis systems since the 1990s. Authored by Michael Batz, head of Food Safety Programs, Emerging Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida, and J. Glenn Morris, Jr., director at the Institute, the report, “Building the Science Foundation of a Modern Food Safety System,” looks at European countries with strong food safety systems and makes a number of recommendations on how to improve those in the United States.

Concernant la traduction, il semble, en effet, y avoir un léger problème...

Alors que la page en arabe n'évoque pas à un seul moment l'adjectif [juives], la traduction en français rajoute cet adjectif après le substantif [colonies].

Il serait intéressant de savoir si c'est automatique, et donc logiquement dans toutes les traductions arabes/français où [colonies] apparait et, si oui, comment s'est installé cet automatisme pour le moins déplacé...

Pour compléter les articles du dossier, un débat a été organisé entre trois personnes qui ont contribué, par leurs réflexions et expertises, à renouveler l'approche des questions de veille et sécurité sanitaires. Olivier Borraz, chargé de recherche au CNRS-CSO, a publié La Sécurité alimentaire en crises : les crises Coca-Cola et Listeria de 1999-2000  (L'Harmattan, 2004) et Réguler les risques émergents. La gestion des mobilisations autour des antennes relais de téléphonie mobile dans cinq pays européens : la Belgique, l'Espagne, la France, le Royaume-Uni, la Suisse (CSO, 2005). Virginie Gimbert, chercheure associée au Groupe d'analyse des politiques publiques (École normale supérieure de Cachan), travaille sur la gestion publique des risques sanitaires ; elle vient de terminer sa thèse de doctorat en sociologie intitulée : L'État sanitaire en question. Les administrations à l'épreuve des risques (École normale supérieure de Cachan, décembre 2006). Didier Torny, chargé de recherche à l'INRA-TSV, a publié récemment un article intitulé « L'administration sanitaire entre contraintes techniques et contraintes juridiques : l'exemple des maladies émergentes » (Revue générale de droit médical, septembre 2005) et copublié avec Francis Chateauraynaud Les sombres précurseurs. Une sociologie pragmatique de l'alerte et du risque (EHESS, 1999). La discussion, qui s'est déroulée le 18 janvier dernier, était animée par Julien Damon chef du département Questions sociales, et Bruno Hérault, rapporteur général.
